Biography

Mrs. Annie “Ann” Dale Jefcoat Rayburn, 84, died Friday, July 6, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital North Mississippi in Oxford, MS. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at 10:00 A.M. at Waller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Allen and Rev. Eddie Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Monday at Waller Funeral Home from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M.

Mrs. Rayburn was born in Laurel, Mississippi and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oxford, MS. Ann was a homemaker, an antique dealer, Sunday school teacher and Bible school teacher. She was a member of the W.M.U., Oxford-Lafayette Historic Homes, Inc. and University Dames. She was also a benefactor of the University of Mississippi. Ann was predeceased by her brother, William C. Jefcoat.

Survivors include her husband, John R. Rayburn of Oxford, MS; one son, Robert Kent Rayburn, of Memphis, TN; and a brother, Lynn Barett Jefcoat of Jackson, MS.
