Biography

Mrs. Arlie Mae Erwin DePriest, 84, retired clerk with Abbeville Post Office, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at her home in Abbeville. Funeral services will be Friday, July 6, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Hope officiating. Burial will follow in Abbeville Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30 until 11:00 at the funeral home.

Born in Steele, MO, Mrs. DePriest was the widow of Mr. Hillard Earl DePriest. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Abbeville and the Darrell J. DePriest chapter of the Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda DePriest Kisner and her husband, Russ of Abbeville, MS; two sons, Danny DePriest of Abbeville, MS and Keith DePriest and his wife, Leah of Abbeville, MS; two brothers, Paul Erwin of Glenallen, MO and Max Erwin of Paris, TN; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in Mrs. DePriest’s memory may be made to First Baptist Church of Abbeville Mission Fund, 15 East Long Street, Abbeville, MS 38601. Mrs. DePriest was preceded in death by a son, Darrell J. DePriest and a daughter, Shirley J. Baldwin.
