Biography

Mrs. Zula Mae Margie James, 96, a homemaker, died Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto in Southaven, MS. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Dr. Ken White officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Born in Oxford, MS, Mrs. James was the widow of Mr. Henry Burlon James, Sr. She was a member of Springdale Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a wonderful and caring mother, grandmother and babysitter. She was talented in the kitchen and enjoyed cooking for her family and being outdoors gardening, fishing and camping.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Ann Thweatt and her husband, Thomas of Oxford; a son, Henry Burlon James, Jr. and his wife, Mary Ann of Southaven, MS; sixteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
