Biography

Mrs. Inez Sturdivant, 98, a retired nurse’s assistant at Campbell Clinic Orthopedics in Memphis, TN, died Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Graceland Care Center in Oxford, MS. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Bro. Shannon Davis and Rev. Max Sturdivant officiating. Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 noon until 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home.

Born in Webster County, MS, Mrs. Sturdivant was the widow of Mr. William Lomax Sturdivant. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, working in her garden, tending her flowers and reading western novels.

Survivors include a daughter, Rose Mary Sturdivant of Oxford; thee sons, William "Billy" Fred Sturdivant of Collierville, TN, Max Ovid Sturdivant of Saltillo, MS and John Richard "Rick" Sturdivant of Abilene, KS; one brother, Bobby Sturdivant of Memphis, TN; six grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
