Biography

Mrs. Ruby Wright Henry, 88, a homemaker, died Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at her residence in Oxford. The funeral service will be Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Shannon Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Kingdom Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, September 9th from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Saturday, September 10th from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Waller Funeral Home.

Born in Lafayette County, she was the widow of Mr. Harold Henry. Mrs. Henry was a Baptist. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her son, Donald O. Henry.

Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Henry Simmons, her husband Danny, of Oxford, MS, Ann Henry Beard, her husband Garry, of Oxford, MS, and Brenda Henry Joyner, her husband Johnny, of Dyersburg, TN; four sons, Thomas Lewis Henry, his wife Nina, of Oxford, MS, James H. Henry of Oakland, TN, Ricky L. Henry, his wife Lisa, of Oxford, MS, and Randy L. Henry of Memphis, TN; one brother, James Carmel Wright of Batesville, MS; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
